It's been a busy few days. On Saturday I picked up my cute new glasses. Then when I went to show Grampa he told me that Grandma Esther had died. There was a lot of confusion about when Mom and Dad would go down to Oregon, but they finally settled on Sunday. Of course, right before they left, the neighbor's house was broken into, followed by my dad yelling up the block to another neighbor about how they'll be gone for a few days -- pretty dumb Dad! Thankfully the house was completely in tact when I got there today to feed the kitty boys.
Today was eventful: one of my 4th graders showed up in my classroom with PORN in his pocket (that another child had given him), which I found out about from students who saw it while waiting in the hallway (because of course, what fun is porn if you can't show it off to your classmates). So he and I had to make a trip down to the office, where our principal (who was very busy all day with budgeting stuff) had to be interrupted.
Tonight I had dinner at Grandma and Grampa's which was fun. And now I am avoiding doing the work that I should probably do for school and watching the documentary about the royal family.
