The Transplant

Katie and her mom are flying to Wisconsin on Easter for the transplant, which will take place the following Thursday. Katie hasn't been nervous up until now, but she's been quite nervous since about 2 minutes after finding out when they're doing it.

    I don't know if exciting is the right word, but Katie is embarking on something that not many of us experience. We wish the best for Katie and Paula.

    Katie is quite afraid. She wasn't really too scared until this afternoon when they gave her a date. Now it's real. 12 days and counting.
