So the first news, which isn't really news anymore, is that Stingy-Old-Man wouldn't budge on the house offer (basically, he wouldn't admit that it had even the slightest of problems - like say needing a new roof, furnace, etc), and pretty much only offered to pay $1000 in closing costs, so we said, "no thanks" and walked away. It sucks, but I'd rather be out the $650 for the inspections than have a house with tens of thousands of dollars worth of work needed just to have it be livable.
I'm now on spring break, which is lovely. Unfortunately we don't get to go anywhere as Katie starts her final quarter at UW today and everyone else has work, but I'm still determined to have a great week. Today's highlights will include a trip to get cupcakes with my friend Lissa and her twin baby boys. I guess that through the end of March the cupcake place has Bailey's cupcakes, which sound pretty tasty!
Other highlights: I see that Safeway has some good looking meat on sale, so I think I might get some. Anyone know how to cook beef round tip or rump roast? It looks like it might be a good crock pot meat.
Last night Katie and I bought another peanut gift. We can't wait to hear next week whether it's a boy or a girl! Emily and Neil, be sure to call ASAP with that news!
