And it's HOT! There are 12 days left in the school year, and for me, only one day left of teaching! Followed by 2 weeks of testing, writing progress reports, and wrapping up a bunch of paperwork (and meetings). I would say that I can barely believe that it's summer already, but it's so hot, I have absolutely no doubt that it is summertime! Tonight we had assorted cold foods for dinner (including smoked salmon, cheese, pickled beets, and strawberry lemonade) because we couldn't bear the thought of cooking anything and heating up our house further.

For some reason, our crazy cat, who typically wants nothing to do with snuggling, has taken to being very snuggly on these hot nights.
The rest of the week should be lots of fun. Friday is field day and I get to run the water station, and Friday night we are going to the Mariner's game! It will be a hot day for sure, so I'll have to be sure to drink lots of water and put on some sunscreen. I've been paying my shoulder sunburn all week.
