After 27+ hours of labor, Frances Jeanne Lorimer was born on January 25, 2011 at 4:24 am. She weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long. She has dark brown hair, but her eyes remain a mystery. Her whole family has been thrilled to get to know her.
Due to some concerns over her heart rate during labor, Frances was not delivered to Katie's chest as expected. Instead, she went directly to the pediatric team on the other side of the room. Thankfully, they all started smiling right away, and Frances was strong and healthy. Here's the picture of when I first handed "the baby" off to Katie and we determined that yes, her name would be Frances.
