18 months?
The last time I wrote anything, Frances was 4 days old. She was still getting the hang of nursing. Today, she crawls, sits, eats every kind of solid food imaginable, walks, runs, and talks up a storm. Lately, people have been asking me how many words she has, I guess because now that she's 18 months old, they assume she's begun talking. Our estimation is that she's somewhere in the realm of a few hundred words. We need to start a new list. Whenever I tell people that, they are impressed, but I try to be sure it doesn't come across as bragging. She's highly social and highly verbal. She is much more of an extrovert than her Momma or I, especially when it comes to strangers. She's always been chatty though. At her one year appointment, when according to her doctor, children on average have 0-1 words, Frannie had 32. She gets new words each day. And that, in a nutshell, is why I have written absolutely nothing on the blog in over a year and a half. Really though, that sounds much more noble than it is...Facebook just takes less effort to update than the blog!
