Breakfast for Dinner

Tonight, in a stroke of genius, we made breakfast for dinner. Katie made the bacon in the oven, which when you do it long enough makes lovely bacon, but it takes a really long time. So after a while we gave up on waiting (our appetizer of canned peaches was no longer sustaining us) and I cooked up the scrambled eggs with cottage cheese, slices of avocado, and toast with jam. We each had a plate of bacon for dessert. And while I really enjoyed the bacon (it was perfectly crisp and not overly greasy, at least as far as bacon goes), it occurs to me that there were more calories in those pieces of bacon than there probably would be in a hot fudge sundae!
