Grandma performing with the Grannies at Folklife!
Katie and I modeling our new hats!
It was the perfect weekend for Folklife: clear and sunny with temperatures in the 70s. We spent most of Sunday and Monday down at Seattle Center and got very lucky both times, finding free parking 5 blocks away at 2nd W and Roy. Tonight I am exhausted from all of our fun. The highlights were: learning Scottish country dancing, watching Grandma perform with the Grannies, and eating lots of good food. Both of us bought cute new hats on Sunday. Mine is a bucket hat, which makes me happy because I used to have one, but shrank it. This one has been preshrunk, so supposedly that won't happen. It's quite cute. Today I bought a Folklife t-shirt. My favorite food was from a restaurant called Horn of Africa, from Portland. I had the appetizer combo, which was really tasty. So much fun, wrapped up with a barbecue at Mom and Dad's. Grampa was going to come, but overdid it walking this afternoon. Too bad!
