This has probably been the longest week of my life. I've been testing kids one after another because we need to fix their (quite screwed up from last year) IEPs NOW! Luckily, after 24 hours of complete panic (during which time I had been told that I had to do all of the work, by myself, by Monday -- a physical impossibility), I got support from the district -- four consulting teachers, each assigned to two of my students who need changes -- all 8 of the problematic IEPs will be taken care of, with my assistance (mainly I'm testing and giving input as to what I want their goals and objectives to say). But boy has it been a long week. Testing testing testing. It's a lot of work to coordinate, especially when you consider making sure that the kids can get to drama, PE, lunch, and recess on time. And because they can only test for so long.
But it will all work out. My first IEP meeting is on Monday.
