Shopping day!

School is good. I don't know when I won't feel incompetent. Hopefully before too long. It's tiring not to know what to do next. Or what to do with the kids. And they are lower (skill-wise) than I anticipated. So I'm a little taxed, figuring out where to start.

This evening was fun. Today was our day to go to the teacher resource center. It's run by world vision. Teachers from schools with lots of low income students get to the old Chubby and Tubby building (conveniently located close to my house) and get TONS of free supplies. I left with what would've been hundreds of dollars in supplies. Lots of books. Lots of general supplies. A wonderful gift. I can't wait to take it all to school in the morning!

Tonight I was a wonderful person. It was Katie's first night of grad school, so I made a very scrumptious dinner! A sort of mexican-ish casserole. Dessert was vanilla pudding with sliced up banana and chocolate cat cookies -- sort of like a disassembled banana cream pie. And I rescued her when she missed the final bus home.

Tomorrow is Friday. A welcome end to the week. I have lots of planning to do over the weekend, but it will be nice to rest.
