Almost turkey day!

This morning was lots of fun. Katie and I went to the yulefest at the Scandinavian Cultural Center. It was lots of fun. We shared quite a few little sweet treats too. We ate these little puffy pancake-like balls that were really good with jam.

I started on my Christmas gift for Julie (a pair of fingerless gloves) and am now half way done. (Correct, that means I've finished 1 glove, good job!) We're getting together on Wednesday evening for dinner and a movie, which will be fun. I haven't seen her since before I went to Norway!

The week will be exciting. Em is coming home, I only work 3 short days, and then it's Thanksgiving! And next weekend we're doing the half marathon.

Tonight I'm watching Save the Last Dance with Katie. Tomorrow our plans include going to the Apple store (because her laptop won't start up for some reason, though it's only a few months old!), going to Costco (for fun beverages) and then to a pre-Thanksgiving dinner party (to which we are taking the fun beverages).

The only bad news to report is that the latest victim of the creepy bb gun shooters is one of my students. As he was walking home from school Thursday night they shot him in the arm. He's okay, but of course he was quite frightened.
