Eleven hours and counting. The only mention by the news is of traffic disruption (no reason provided). So I emailed king 5 to ask WHY they weren't covering what was a very disruptive incident for those of us who live in the area! At least to explain that no one was in any sort of danger...I mean having that much traffic shut down doesn't happen every day and it's a bit suspicious and creepy.
I actually got a reply! Within a few minutes I got an email back saying that it is a suicidal person, which is why they aren't covering it. I know that no one wants to glorify suicide attempts, but at least they could have mentioned on the news something about a standoff with police that was not a threat to those in the area! Eleven hours is an awfully long time.
