Feet bleed quite a lot...

As of yesterday Katie and I are officially preapproved to borrow money for a house. Not any house in particular yet, but it's a start!

We've seen 2 houses that we enjoy so far, but they are too small. We would really like to find something with 2 stories and a basement. And if it has to be one story, we want it to be big! We don't think we can handle 750 square feet on the one floor and then a basement...not enough living space.

Ouch! Katie accidently broke a glass jar. I dutifully ran to put my shoes on (so that I wouldn't cut myself) and got out the shop vac (the poor man's Dyson) to vaccuum it all up. I vaccuumed the rug, the kitchen tile, all under and along the fridge. Then I headed to the bathroom to clean up the litter that had been tracked around by Senor Fluff (Lionel) and some dust bunnies (because you might as well take care of everything at once). I put the shop vac away, took my shoes off, and then proceeded to step on a piece of glass! It was a sharp pointy one that had managed somehow to stay in the carpet (maybe I missed a spot). So bled all over the kitchen floor (quite a lot for such a tiny cut)...which then got a good wipe down by Katie, who then patched me up. Lots of drama to get a clean floor!
