For Katie's birthday I gave her "Eat This, Not That" which is a guide to making healthier choices when eatting out. (Note: at some places you're still eatting really unhealthfully, but it's the healthiest option there.) Tonight at Costco (where we went to get gas and a rotisserie chicken to go with our quinoa and carmelized onions) I bought "Eat This, Not That -- For Kids". Some of it talks about kids menu stuff, but it's really just an extention of the book Katie has, with additional ideas (and a focus on more of the kid-friendly menu options). I'm really enjoying reading it. Plus, the kids on is cool because they give each restaurant a grade, which would make it easier to decide where to go if you had the choice.
Today I went to help Katie set up her classroom (because I can't go do mine yet, as they're not yet done with the floors). I put up 3 bulletin boards, including one on which I built a 3D tree! It's pretty cool.
