Take One!

The exclamation point is only because it is technically part of the proprietary name of the program...and I find it entertaining because it isn't that exciting.

I thought I should update my blog to say that there is really nothing to update. The biggest news of the moment is that I received my materials for Take One! in the mail today. For those not in the know, Take One! is 1 section of the National Boards (for teaching). You have to have taught for three years in order to do National Boards, which is four sections long, plus a test. Take One! lets you get one of the four sections done with early. It usually costs $400 to do Take One!, but the school district and the teachers' union are subsidizing it for teachers in high needs schools, so I only had to pay $100. Saturday morning I go to my first three-hour meeting. The exciting part is that now I get to start. Yeah, not all that exciting. It's like fancy homework.

In other news, I think that on Friday Grandma is going to make a fancy Boston Creme cake (from a magazine she got in the mail) and we are going to play Liverpool. Once I confirm, I will call people to let them know.
