Pride Parade, 2009

On Sunday Katie and I walked in the pride parade with the Men's and Women's choruses. It was lots of fun. I carried one of the Women's Chorus flags through most of the parade. And we passed out candy too, which was lots of fun. Uncle Pete was there and saw us, but we never did see him. Grandma and Sumi were there too, but they missed seeing our group entirely. I should've taken some pictures on the parade route, but I was so busy with my job of holding the flag and passing out candy, that I didn't think about it until it was over.

After the parade, we performed a few songs in the Center House. It was fun, but the sound wasn't very good. Oh well!

We knew we wouldn't want to walk much afterwards, so we parked (for free) a few blocks from the Seattle Center. It was a good plan, even if it did mean walking the entire parade route twice, plus some! I figured out later on that I had walked for over 5 hours straight, with no real rest. Sore legs!

Lots of people I don't know enjoying the fountain. It was a nice warm day, but not quite warm enough for me to feel the urge to get soaked all the way through. I settled with the spray of water that blew off the fountain as I walked past!

The Men's Chorus performing immediately following us. Obviously I couldn't get a picture of us singing.
