This weekend was quite busy, considering we hit up the mothers day sale at Weaving Works (multiple times, because they kept putting out new things at even lower prices), went to a plant sale at Katie's school to help support a school in Mexico, celebrated mothers day and various May birthdays! Grandma's strawberry shortcake was particularly good, as usual.
Yesterday was Mom's 54th birthday, so we had a lovely dinner of pizza at Northlake Tavern (where the guy made the wise choise of asking Katie and Stu for ID after the look I gave him when he only asked for mine...it could have melted steel). Then we took chocolate fudge cake and vanilla ice cream to Grandma's and Grampa's. Thankfully Grampy's portable oxygen seems to be working again, which is good, considering he had a (good) doctor's appointment yesterday.
Tonight I spent 3 hours at a workshop, but it was actually really good. I now know what I'm going to do with my reading students, probably for the remainder of the year! Best of all, Katie had a great dinner waiting for me when I got home!
