October 1st is 3 days away. As soon as my job situation is fixed, I'm going out to celebrate. Karen (my instructional assistant) and I have been planning to go out for Mexican as soon as I get my job -- we'd hoped to carry out our plan 4 months ago!
Today is a beautiful Sunday in Seattle. Dad and Uncle Pete finished laying the tile on the shower walls at Grandma and Grampa's house. Tomorrow they grout. Grampa is REALLY looking forward to taking a REAL shower on Tuesday, provided everything goes well.
In other exciting news, I got a student copy of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Plus today at UW bookstore (or, I should say, Katie got me a student copy). I'm glad, because my 60 trial of Office had run out, so most of the functions didn't work anymore.
The most exciting news of all is that I have begun working on my Christmas presents! Since I'm planning to make many of them, I'd better start early. Of course, I can't disclose what any of the projects are, here on my blog, because then you'd know what you are getting!
