When the Kat's away, Sarah will play!

Katie is out of town today and tomorrow (to the far off land of Centralia) for a music teachers' conference, so I'm really living it up. Well, in my own Sarah way, that is. This afternoon I went with a group of other teachers from my school to Salty's for TGIF. We mostly ate nachos, because that was their biggest appetizer (more bang for the buck), and they were good. Then I went by costco and bought some heeleys (those tennis shoes with wheeles in the heals), because they were on close-out for $25 and I've always thought that they looked kind of fun. However, I don't seem to be a quick study. I thought they'd be a lot like rollar skates...no such luck! So I'll have to practice. It does mean that wiggling my feet around on the floor is infanently more fun!

Entertainment: I've been watching the Mariner's with Grampy and they just lost #9 in a row. And I enjoyed a piece of Grandma's strawberry rhubarb pie. I've been wondering. Is rhubarb really a fruit, or is it a vegetable? Because just because we use it as a fruit doesn't mean it is one. And it does look an awful lot like pinkish celery.

Tomorrow morning I am heading over to Redmond to have lunch with my friend Angela, from Western. She teaches special ed in Bellevue, so she just finished her first week of school!
