September 29th

T minus 2 days and counting...until they *hopefully* make the change to my job. Ambiguous news passed down from the commander (principal): management was meeting to begin discussing changes this morning at 11:30. What that means for us: the commander isn't sure.

As soon as I get an email back from the woman at UW extensions (telling me if they can help me do my endorsement, or if I have to go through Western, which just means emailing another person), I can sign up for the academic achievement test (WEST-E) that I need to pass to get my endorsement.

I'm at Mom and Dad's right now. Katie gets out of class in about 5 minutes and once she arrives, we're going to have salmon! Then we're going to go watch Dad (and eventually Uncle Pete) grout the bathroom. If they are successful, Grampa can take his much-anticipated shower tomorrow! The bad news: Dad has to sand and repaint sections the bathroom walls because the paint sagged, meaning it is now extra-thick in some places and looks like it has big drips. He says is a flaw with semi-gloss enamel paint on sheet rock and that it isn't a big deal (because it won't delay Grampa's shower), but it means a little extra work before they're done.

Oh yeah, and tomorrow is September 30, wear blue for Obama!
