Dad is now officially out of the ICU. However, rather than sharing a nurse with only one other room, like he did upstairs, he shares his nurse with many people. Apparently, it was quite a long time after he was settled in before Mom and Dad saw the nurse, and of course, Mom wasn't going to leave until they'd seen a nurse. Mom said that her name is Betty and that she is very nice. All of the nurses have been nice -- even the Republican guy last night.
Luckily, Dad has a bunch of our wonderful homemade chocolate chip cookies to munch on. Other good news is that he is allowed to move! I think that tomorrow he gets to take a shower. Mom said that right now he is sound asleep on his side -- I bet that makes him happy!
