UW Hospital ICU -- Day 2

Today was a pretty full day of not doing a lot. Katie and I started off our day at Starbucks, where I got a ticket for a free drink of my choice on my next visit, because I couldn't have the oatmeal I wanted, since they were out of brown sugar. We went for a visit to Grampa's, then got lost wandering around Edmonds, trying to find the holiday craft fair at the unitarian church. I would like to restate my dislike for cities that are not built on grid patterns! I bought a few fun things for people for Christmas.

Then Katie and I went on another adventure, trying to find the Business Costco, so that we could get some new cookware. Mission accomplished.

We've finished out our day by bringing dinner from Trader Joe's (the Middle East Feast) and our lovely selves to the hospital. Dad got to order from the menu. If you're ever checked in to UW Medical Center, I recommend the chocolate torte. It's quite delightful.

Tomorrow morning they take Dad off of the drugs, then 3 hours later take the stent out. Four hours after that (so around 2 pm if all goes according to plan), he will get to move! I think he's really looking forward to that.
