I've been a good teacher this weekend. I graded tests (and was sorely disappointed at a few of my students) and inventoried work. Then today Katie and I went to Lakeshore and I bought some posters for the walls and resource books for myself. All reading stuff. Passages with comprehension questions, 25 little books to copy and put together to help kids learn word families, and the coolest of all, a book with 10 fairy tales rewritten as newspaper articles. They have comprehension questions and a cd with the "news report" read aloud. I'm very excited to use them. Hopefully I won't have much to do tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, I get to see Emmy! I'm quite excited. In anticipation, Katie and I got the giant down coat out of the closet.

Today we went on a major grocery shopping spree. It was greatly needed. But now we have all sorts of yummy things to eat.

It's nice having mom and dad back from Jamaica. I think they missed me a lot.
