Teeny Tiny Computer!

When I bought my "new" laptop 2 years ago, I considered it very portable. It's a pretty average size and not heavy...until I pack it up and tote along the power cord. It can be lightened by removing the battery, but then I'm limited to being tethered to a wall; not very practical. Tonight I bought an acer "aspire one" at Costco for $299.99 (or $326 with tax). It's SO cute and tiny and easy to use and basically as powerful as my other computer. It's only 8.5 inches! It would not make a good only computer for me, because it can be so light and tiny because it has no disc drive (so also no burning capabilities), but it is the perfect little travel-sized device! It also might be a difficult transition for anyone with abnormally big hands or people with chubby fingers, because the keyboard is smaller than usual. Thankfully, I have little hands and tiny fingers, so this is not a problem. I was finally convinced to get it because my dad got one the other night and after watching him play on it I felt jealous and compelled to go shopping! Plus, the timing couldn't be more perfect, since I'm traveling to Anchorage in 11 days!

  1. Ooh, you're going to Anchorage? Cool! How come!

I have an eeePC (another little computer) and you're right, it's perfect for traveling.

  3. I am going up to Anchorage to see (my cousin) Emily! She is up there in the 2nd year of her 2 year fellowship and I wanted to get up there before she comes home to be with us for good!
